A DAY IN MY LIFE BY RACHAEL

To me what I do everyday can seem pretty normal, but I guess to someone else it is not. To help understand what a student might go through on a regular day while attending the Tooele Regional Campus, I will take you on a journey through a day in my life. Like many students that attend the Tooele Campus, I have a full time job. I work for a local State Farm Insurance Agency. Keeping busy with helping customers and people acquiring quotes, I work until the busy work-day is over. Around five I get off and head straight for class. For now it is a English 3030, a class that is smaller in size. The size of the class actually makes it perfect for any kind of discussion. Once class is over, I often go into the computer lab to do work for my online classes. I have the Internet at home, but being at the school helps stop any distractions I might have. There is always a quiet place to work at the school. By the time I come to a close with my online class, it is late and I am more than ready to go home for a good nights rest. On other days, I often participate in activities with an institute group and enjoy being with friends or family when I am not doing homework. I hope that as I take life a step at a time in each day in my life, I can come closer to achieving my goals. Going to school is definitely one of those goals.

Welcome to Utah State University Tooele Regional Campus

Hello everyone! My name is Rachael and I am one of the student reps for this year. I just want to start off by welcoming everyone that sees this blog. I hope that through this blog you will get a better understanding of the Utah State University Tooele Regional Campus. The Tooele Regional Campus is awesome! We have great faculty and staff that are always trying to help to the best of their ability. I feel that I can count myself lucky to be able to attend here. The campus is a little different from a main campus because of the age differences of the students. Many of the students have a story of why they are attending the campus. For instance we have students that are single mothers trying to get an education to better provide for their children, older adults just trying to accomplish a goal, or even a young aged student that is tight on money that still wants to go to school but the cost of main campus is out of their reach. Really no matter your age The Tooele Campus is willing to help out. I feel that many of the students are happy with the opportunity to attend school close to home because I know I do.
